The Electrical Safety Office has releases 5 NEW Codes of Practice

The Electrical Safety Office has released 5 new Codes of Practice for
working near exposed live parts, conducting electrical work, rural
electrical equipment, Entity works and Electrical risk management.

It is particularly important to note the following

The new codes reference the ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management standard rather
than AS4360.

There are two risk matrices recommended, one for electrical workers, one for
others.

The risk assessment process has been outlined in detail including examples
of what is considered low, moderate and high risk electrical work.

All example activities for electrical workers use insulated gloves
A range of example forms are provided for conducting the risk assessment
process (electrical).
