This technical guidance note provides information which clarifies Workplace Health and Safety Queenslands (WHSQ) position, in relation to a person in control of and/or operating a mobile crane to:
- undertake any dogging functions supervise and/or direct a trainee dogger.
Background
A number of incidents have occurred in Queensland and other parts of Australia in which serious injuries have resulted where the crane operator has been supervising a trainee dogger or left the cabin of the crane to sling their own loads.
