Who Should Attend
For anyone on a construction site, it is a requirement that a principal contractor must not allow an employer or self-employed person to start construction-type work unless the employer, self-employed persons, and all workers hold ‘General Induction Evidence’.
Aim
The aim of the Construction induction is to provide initial basic health and safety education to all persons working within the building and construction industry.
Course Outline
Training Materials
Participants will receive a Course Booklet which includes Common Law and WH & S Obligations, Extract from the Workplace Health & Act & Regulations, Risk Management Concepts, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Control Measures, Material Safety Data Sheets and Basic Emergency Procedures.
Assessment
Participants will undertake a written assessment. This written assessment will incorporate completion of a Risk Assessment.
Outcome
Participants who demonstrate competency by successfully completing written assessment will receive an Induction (White) Card and a Statement of Attainment.
Delivery
The course will be delivered via a face-to-face format in either ASTA training rooms or at your workplace, depending on numbers and requirements.
