OHSCER218A Dogging Operations

Who Should Attend

Any person wishing to gain the skills required to obtain a Licence to perform Dogging Operations.

Aim

The aim of this course is to provide the participant with adequate knowledge to successfully complete the assessments required prior to application for a prescribed occupation licence to perform Dogging Operations.

Course Outline

On completion of this course, participants will know:

Training Materials

On enrolment with ASTA, the participant is given a Log Book which includes a training plan and a full explanation of the requirements of the training plan for both the participant and the employer/supervisor. During the 4 days of formal course work, the participants have access to Easy Guides Learning Support Material for Dogging, power point presentations and safety videos.

Hand outs relevant to dogging operations will also be provided.

Assessments

During formal coursework, the participant will undertake written theory assessments (for which a 100% pass rate is required). Once the participant has logged 120 hours in his/her log book (hours must be verified by the trainer/assessor) or provided appropriate evidence of the completion of these hours, then the participant will undertake a practical assessment.

Outcome

On successful completion of assessments, participants will receive two copies of a Statement of Attainment, two copies of the assessment summary and an application form F1 for lodgment with Australia Post to apply for a photo ID Licence to perform dogging operations.

Delivery

The course will be delivered via a face-to-face format in either ASTA training rooms or at your workplace, depending on numbers and client requirements.
