Who Should Attend
This course is designed for persons who are required to work or organise work at heights.
Aim
The aim of this course is to encourage the adoption of safe practices whilst working at heights and provides instruction in the correct use of access and safety equipment. This course does not provide detailed training on the erection of scaffolding.
Course Outline
On completion of this course, participants have a working knowledge of and be able to and carry out:
Training Materials
Participants will receive a set of Safe Work at Heights Course Notes, Information on Gotcha Remote Rescue Kit, Harness Inspection Sheets and Extracts from the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.
Assessments
Participants will be required to complete a practical assessment including a risk assessment in a vertical environment, safety checks, pre-use inspection of PPE, correct installation of height safety equipment and demonstrate safe work at heights in a controlled manner using the correct techniques. Participants will also complete a written assessment.
Outcome
Upon completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
Delivery
The course will be delivered via a face-to-face format in either ASTA training rooms or at your workplace, depending on numbers and client's facilities.
