Site Supervisors - G1 G8 G9 (Formerly S1 S2 S3)
Who Should Attend
This training program has been specifically designed for participants employed who are required to undertake the role of and perform the duties and requirements of a Supervisor. These units are appropriate for those working in operational roles, at worksites within Civil Construction, Coal Mining, Drilling, Extractive, and Metalliferous Mining Industries.
Aim
To give the participant the necessary skills and understanding to operate in the role of a Supervisor within their work environment.
Course Outline
On completion of this course, participants will know:
Work Health & Safety legislative requirements
Risk Management documentation, implementation and controls
Incident investigations processes and controls
Communication processes

Training Materials
Participants will receive Course Notes and extracts of Legislation. The 3 day course uses power point presentations and student interaction to gain an understanding of the needs of a Supervisor in relation to Health and Safety issues.
Please be aware that as part of this course a Workplace Evidence workbook is to be issued prior to the course or on the course dates and is to be completed by the participants supervisor in their normal workplace.
Assessment
Participants will undertake practical exercises throughout the formal training period, completion of the in class self- assessments, a theory assessment. The Workplace Evidence workbook is to be completed, signed and returned to ASTA with requested evidence within six (6) months of course date.
Outcome
On successful completion of the theory, practical and return of the Workplace Evidence workbook participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for

RIICOM301E - Communicate Information
Delivery
The course will be delivered via a face-to-face format in either ASTA training rooms or at your workplace, depending on numbers, client requirements and training facilities available for the practical assessment.
